Records of Australian air personnel 1914–1918
Wing Commander Barry Videon, with the help of a dedicated group, spent many years compiling the records of Australians who served with the air forces of the Great War.
Following his death, this valuable data was at risk of being lost.
David Perkins converted the raw data and added to it, developing a comprehensive database of 6,000+ Australian men and women who served.
The Society recognises its importance and with David’s urging has made the database freely available to all.
‘I hope the publication of these biographical details in a digital form,’ says David, ‘will provide a valuable, accessible resource for current and future World War One aviation researchers, which is as Barry intended.’
